My recommendation if you end up not liking the tank method (which I dislike for any boss lol) is to make sure to pick up a walking cane from mactusk if he is generous enough to drop you the tusk.

As the dusk of night 30 comes to an end, get yourself and everyone else at the base out of there, to reasonably far open field.Ģ: Place the campfire. Having extra Logs, Manure or Charcoal is always great for fueling fire.ġ: Prepare all ingredients by day 29. Alternatives include green mushrooms, cactus flesh, soothing tea. Having sanity food can be very helpful you can make some in winter using Asparagus for Vegetable Stingers. You won't need much healing anyway with marble armor. Alternatives include Pierrogies, Fishsticks and Surf n Turf. Reserve a few berries for fishing Lobsters very easy and cheap healing. Plant some marble bushes early on or at least have 6 marbles. Ingredients: Marble Suit, Hambat, Campfire, Fuel, Sign Post, Lobster Bisque, Vegetable StingersĠ: Before day 30, aim to kill a werepig for hambat materials. Hambat is probably my favorite boss killing weapon. The other bosses require a bit more preparation but once you get the hang of it, you'll see it's super easy. Blocked pools means that the flame larvae can't reach you and will simply burn out. You don't even need an armor for this method and you're farming logs, at the same time.įor an easy (and cheesy) Dragonfly kill you can surround the magma pools with stonewalls and literally facetank her until it's dead. Just plant a forest and start kiting him in there, soon the Bearger will spawn a few Treeguard who will either kill the Bearger for you or simply weaken him just enough for you to kill him. You can use a similar tactic when you're fighting the Bearger. Pigs can help you, sometimes even the hound attack can be useful. Ideally when Winter comes you'll just go around and gather some cacti, once you hear Deerclops growling leave your base, build a fire and start cooking the cacti. If nightmare creatures are troubling you, just build a couple more log armors, helmets and some sanity food. It is also wise for WX-78 to use the Eyebrella during Summer, as it will provide maximum overheating protection in the head slot without adding wetness and causing damage as some other dress items will.As others have said, you can just facetank everything and your whole preparation for that would be two to three football helmets, two to three log suits (you can also use marble armor) and a hambat. While playing as WX-78, the Eyebrella will completely negate all rain damage with only one equipment slot required. It is worth noting, however, that the player will be unable to utilize a SYSTEM OVERLOAD while the item is equipped due to the protection from lightning. The Eyebrella is the only item aside from the Rain Coat to provide 100% protection from wetness, which means that a player can protect against the frequent Rain of spring while keeping both the hands and chest slot free. The Eyebrella is considered to be an incredibly valuable dress item for both Spring and Summer, having the highest protective stats in game for the effects of both seasons. With careful use, the Eyebrella can be kept in good condition throughout Spring with only a single use of a Sewing Kit. It provides 240 points of protection from Overheating and absolute protection from Rain and Lightning.
A Sewing Kit repairs 55.5% of its durability. It requires 1 Deerclops Eyeball, 15 Twigs, and 4 Bone Shards to craft and an Alchemy Engine to prototype. The Eyebrella is a Dress Item from the Reign of Giants DLC that equips to the head slot.
